How does it connect to my PostgreSQL database?
You provide a connection string (e.g. postgres://user:pass@host:5432/db). We use it read-only to tail pg_stat_statements and the slow query log. Your credentials are encrypted at rest.
What counts as a "slow query"?
You set the threshold yourself — default is 500ms. Any query exceeding that duration triggers an alert. You can configure separate thresholds per database.
